VOLUNTEER training

A key component of the shelter is our vast volunteer network. MIHN highly values the work that our volunteers donate to our homeless families and to the shelter.

When a new host congregation or group signs on as a "rotation" with the shelter:

• A formal, group training is scheduled at the shelter with all of the volunteers
• A complete tour of the shelter is offered
• A criminal background check is conducted (CORI)
